On Thursday, October 10, 2024, LATTC hosted a grand opening celebration for its new Pride Center. Named "Bucky’s Pride Center" after the college’s mascot, the Center will provide community-based resources and programming to empower, educate, and support students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or asexual (LGBTQIA+). The Center meets a college priority to ensure that all LATTC students feel a sense of belonging and community so they can achieve academic and personal success.

Festivities continued with incredible performances by drag artists Kalista Stage, Calypso Jeté Balmain, HoSo Terra Toma, Jaharia, and MiAmi Knight Wild, and concluded with closing remarks from Los Angeles Community College District Trustee, David Vela.
